Time for new Rubber

I have been aware for some time the alarming wear rate of the original Metzeler tyres fitted to the 790, in particular the rear. I have also not really felt that comfortable with them on the road, with them being an off road bias tyre.

So having done a little research, I have settled on the Mitas E-07+. A 50/50 tyre, so more road bias than previous and reports say a better wear rate….we will see!

First ride out on a lovely sunny November morning saw me crack a 100 miles, all on paved and broken paved roads. My initial impression is very favourable, with a lot more precise feel about the handling of the bike 🙂
